It seems spring has passed us all by in a COVID blur, but we are more than ready to get back to doing what we do best – welcoming and serving our guests to ensure that your getaway is pleasant. Here’s how to relax and be safe during your Carmel Valley Getaway.

Now more than ever, we understand the importance of being able to relax and unwind. Rest assured, when you arrive at Carmel Valley Lodge, that’s exactly what you can do because your safety is our top concern. We have certainly been busy adopting new procedures. While some things may be different when you arrive – extra cleaning throughout the day, the option to enjoy breakfast outdoors or in the lobby, our health-screened workers in masks – our attention to guest satisfaction remains steadfast.

Throughout the property we’re following CDC guidelines to address COVID-19 and we’re thrilled our enhanced cleaning process has even been certified by the California Hotel and Lodging Association.

California’s Great Outdoors

But the real joy of your stay will be found outdoors, where California truly offers the best of everything. In addition to the nearby Pacific Ocean, our three-acre property includes beautiful gardens that are the highlight of many guests’ visit. While others were sheltering in place, we made sure the weeding and trimming continued so that the heart of our property was being maintained – even if guests weren’t on site to enjoy the colorful, blooming paths and walkways. The solace found in natural beauty is simply amazing. When so many aspects of our life have been upended, to witness the dependability of nature is restorative.

Outdoor Areas at Carmel Valley Lodge

We’ve also arranged our outdoor areas so there’s plenty of social distancing among guests – it’s important to be comfortable while soaking in the warmth of the California sun. And remember, each room at the Lodge has its own private outdoor sitting area with chairs and a table so you don’t even need to walk far to enjoy the fresh air.

Our pool and spa do remain open, but we’re limiting the number of people who can access it at any one time so it will be enjoyable for everyone. Just ask when you check in and we’ll get things set up for you to accommodate your schedule.

We have many lodging options for guests. People wanting some more space (and many are choosing to make a week of it) love our three-bedroom cottages. They all come with a complete kitchen and ample room to stretch out after a day on the trails. And the two bedroom California King units are also proving popular for those who’ve been quarantining with family and are ready for a change of scene.
